I’m Jennifer Peyton, a Saline County native who returned home in 2013 because this area will always have my heart.
With experience in the automotive industry, real estate sales, as a stay-at-home mom, and a decade in insurance, I’ve seen firsthand the hard work and heart that define our county. I love to dance, exploring the Shawnee National Forest, and being a mom to three amazing kids—my biggest motivation for running. I want the next generation to have the chance to thrive right here at home.
I believe that every person has the ability to make a positive impact in their community.
Saline County is full of potential, and I am committed to helping it grow. I believe our county’s strengths, excellent schools, affordable housing, and access to outdoor recreation, can attract new businesses and new residents while improving quality of life for the people who already call this community home.
I see tremendous opportunity for Saline County to become both a work‑from‑home hub, and a tourist destination connected to the Shawnee National Forest. Creating an environment that is attractive to manufacturers is a top priority. To reach these goals, we must invest in the supporting infrastructure. I am committed to pursuing those improvements while also working toward greater self‑sustainability. Procuring resources through grants and partnerships will be my focus to achieve these goals.
Fairness and opportunity for every resident are at the heart of my vision. I want Saline County to be a place where people feel supported, included, and heard—no matter their background or circumstance.
